Closing down the Gamification Awards

It is time to say goodbye to the idea of the Gamification Awards. We ran these awards in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and then COVID came along and put a stop to them. Though they were a lot of fun to organise, it was very hard work to find and convince projects to enter the awards. Generally each project that has been gamified in some way is more relevant to another industry and gamification gave them the edge in that industry. i.e. an environmental project that uses gamification to motivate users to recycle more is seen as a better fit for entering some environmental awards than entering standalone gamification awards. In the end we did not have the marketing power to reach enough gamified projects in each industry and have an award for each industry.

Do get in touch if you think your organisation would be interested in reviving and running the awards as we’d rather they existed than did not exist!
