Why every gamification designer needs to learn to be a cultural translator.

Toby Beresford, author of the Infinite Gamification book and framework, challenges us to think deeply about the culture of our players when designing gamification programs. He will then provide a sneak preview of the new 2025 Digital Nations taxonomy that will help us tailor our offerings to specifically digital cultures and tribes.

Toby is Director of Digital Strategy for Bible Society. As a gamification specialist he has presented around the world working for many top tier organisations including IBM, PwC and the United Nations.

You might not know that Toby kindly agreed to be our backup speaker at Gamification Europe 2024 in case one of international speakers had travel issues. In the event they all made it of course but it meant we missed out on hearing this insightful look into player culture and how it affects gamification design.

Whether or not you attended the conference you can come along to this session for free. Register to attend and join us online at any of these:
